Previous Sermon Of The Week 12/2/2012 :Be a bride after God’s heart ( Pastor Joyce Yong )
In a bride relationship, it’s a God and you only relationship, and we enjoy the love of God , like how a husband treat his wife.
A bride and groom relationship can refer to ourselves and churches.
In order to become a bride , she must have a life of holiness, being transformed by the renewal of mind, and to understand the heart of God.
To be a bride of Christ, ( a wife of Christ ) , we commit ourselves into a covenant of love. A covenant is a promise that can never be broken even the other party hasn't kept its promise.
The nature of a bride, she is always patient—waiting for her groom like the 5 wise virgins . She leads a holy life, and has a pure and gentle heart . This means her old self being peeled away. Lastly, she has an intimate relationship with Christ, and she always co-ordinate with God—obeying his will.
God is searching for someone who loves him like a wife , listen to him, obey his commands. Are you willing to be his bride after his heart? May we all say “ Yes, I do !”
